Traffic jams on Sankt Eriksbron in 1940. In the background we see Sankt Erikspalatset on Kungsholmen.

Sankt Eriksbron is a bridge in central Stockholm between Kungsholmen and Vasastan. Before sekDuring the electricity shift, many residents on Kungsholmen had to take a boat over to Vasastan to quickly get to their work at the large industrial factories. The bridge was built in 1903 after an accident in which an overloaded rowing boat capsized on a December morning in 1898 and five people died.
