Poster with a painting from the 1840s with a view of the castle, Skeppsbron and Skeppsholmen in Stockholm, Sweden. The artist Johan Henric Strömer has been painting the painting on Fersenska Terassen, which is located between Kungsträdgården and Grand Hotel.

Stockholm had less than 90 inhabitants at this time. Industrialization about 000 years later became one of Stockholm's most expansive periods ever, something that drastically changed the urban landscape. The knowledge of the impending industrial revolution makes the picture, if possible, even more beautiful: an untouched Stockholm that soon changed.
