Poster with the famous painting The Red Tree by Piet Mondrian. Piet Mondrian was a Dutch artist who lived between 1872 and 1944 and is considered one of the greatest artists of the 1900th century. He was a significant pioneer for abstract art and very famous for hisrepositions with geometric shapes and base colors

In The Red Tree we see an apple tree in fiery red against a cobalt blue evening sky on the Dutch coast at Domburg where Mondrian like so many other artists spent his summers. The painting was one of Mondrian's first steps from true-to-nature motifs to more abstract ones for which he became very famous.
