Poster with a design sketch by the iconic and American car manufacturer Brewster & Company. Of all the American manufacturers, none was as highly regarded for design, surface and quality as Brewster & Company. The trolley in the picture is a two-seater English Pony Phaeton, no. 1064.

The company was founded in 1810 by James Brewster in the United States and flourished for generations of family leadership. By 1874, Brewster & Company had successfully expanded its business to produce its own cars and deliver bodies to Rolls Royce. Prominent customers included Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, August Belmont, JP Morgan, John Jacob Astor, Andrew J. Cassatt, William Rockefeller, Henry Clay Frick and Pierre Lorillard.
