Posters with Meel from the naval battle in 1704 at Orford Ness on the English side on the northern part of the English Channel. When the Swedish convoy of sailing ships passed an English squadron and refused to haul its pennant, which is an honor at sea, the English chose to attack with their 9 ships and 430 cannons. The Swedish ships had received clear directives from Charles XII never to fly the flag of any foreign power as such a gesture was punishable by death. After 4 hours of fighting, the Swedes had to hoist the flag for distress and were then captured by the English.
