Poster with August Strindberg's painting Wonderland from 1894. Until 2010, Wonderland was the most expensive Swedish painting ever sold at auction in Sweden. The work was sold in 1990 for SEK 22,6 million by Bukowskis.

When Strindberg created the work, he had first intended to paint ”a shaded forest interior, from where you can see the sea at sunset”. After painting for a while, however, he noticed that he could not see any sea, but instead, in the bright middle part "an infinite perspective of pink and bluish light, where airy, disembodied, indefinable beings float around like fairies with trailers of clouds”. Strindberg noted that the forest has become a cave and that the foreground looks like rocks covered with lichens.

August Strindberg (1849-1912) was a Swedish writer, playwright and artist. He is considered one of Sweden's most important writers, internationally known primarily as a playwright. Several of his works are considered classics in Swedish literature.

Black collection are selected motifs where we have replaced the white passepartout with a black one to emphasize the motif in a modern and unique way.
