Hotell Rydberg - Gentlemen's place of choice in the 1857s (1914-XNUMX).

Hotell Rydberg was a hotel with a restaurant and bar at Gustav Adolfs Torg in Stockholm. The hotel was during its time one of the city's more famous entertainment establishments and was visited by journalists and writers - a gathering place for artists and intellectuals. The hotel also housed the men's club The Company (Sällskapet) between the years 1857-70. Beef Rydberg, or Beef à la Rydberg, is considered to have been served for the first time in the hotel restaurant.

In the photograph, we see guests and staff in connection with the bar closing in September 1914. Among the guests we see, among others, the opera singer Oscar Bergström sitting as a third person from the right.
