Poster with the painting Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I by Gustav Klimt. It took Klimt three years to complete the painting. The painting depicts the Jew and socialite Adele Bloch-Bauer (1881–1925) at the age of 26.

After the Nazi annexation of Austria in 1938, the painting was confiscated from its Jewish owner, Ferdinand Bloch-Bauer. The Nazis sold the painting to the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere, which renamed it the Woman in Gold to hide the fact that the person portrayed was a Jew.

Ferdinand Bloch-Bauer's niece Maria Altmann (1916–2011) sued the Austrian state in 2000 and in 2006 received a Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I and four other Klimt paintings in accordance with the Washington Principles. In 2006, she sold the painting at an auction in New York for $ 135 million, making it the most expensive painting ever sold.
