Aerial view of Stockholm City Hall from 1935. The picture shows parts of Södermalm, Riddarholmen and Gamla Stan. Between Riddarholmen and Stadshuset, Strömbadet can be seen, which you can read more about here

The Stockholm City Hall was inaugurated in 1923 on the 400th anniversary of Gustav Vasa's entry into Stockholm. It had taken 15 years to build and was the masterpiece of the renowned architect Ragnar Östberg. The building is seen by many as a symbol of Sweden and its capital city and has become internationally known, not least because of the annual Nobel Banquet .
