Poster with a map of Sweden in 1811. On the sides of the map we also see Denmark, Norway and Finland. In the upper left corner we see the text "Map of Sweden by Carl Akrell 1811".

Only two years earlier, in 1809, Sweden had lost the Finnish war and thus lost Finland to Russia. Sweden compensated for the loss by conquering Norway, which in 1814 was forced to form a union with Sweden. The union between Sweden and Norway was dissolved as early as 1905 after strong pressure from Norway to become independent again.

The motif is printed on a 200 gram premium paper from one of the world's leading paper manufacturers - Hahnemühle.

The paper is matte and has a warm tone that gives the image a fantastic depth. Thanks to the unbeatable quality of the paper, you can count on a durability of up to 60 years if you expose it sparingly to sunlight and other loads.
