Poster with John Bauer's famous painting of the fairy tale character and Princess Tuvstarr. The painting is called Tuvstarr is still sitting and looking down into the water and was painted in 1913.

In the painting we see Tuvstarr sitting on the shore of a forest star and looking wondering down into the water where she has released her heart of gold. She has gone out into the world under the protection of the moose bull Skutt. The forest hulder has taken her clothes and the fairies her princess crown.

John Bauer is known for his fairy tale motifs with trolls and princesses and he has had a great influence on Swedish folklore and storytelling. The painting was an illustration in The tale of the moose bull Skutt and the little princess Tuvstarr by Helge Kjellin.
