Canvas print with a beautiful painting of a winter landscape at the Royal Djurgården in Stockholm painted by King Charles XV of Sweden (1826–1872).

Charles XV was king of Sweden and Norway between 1859 and 1872. He married Princess Lovisa of the Netherlands. Charles XV loved to paint and devoted a large part of his life to painting in the romantic style of the time and played a major role in art in Sweden through the strong support he gave many artists.

The Royal Djurgården is an island in central Stockholm that is part of the Royal National City Park and is covered by royal disposition law. In Charles XI's time in 1680, a fence was erected around the entire Djurgården and its popular hunting grounds to keep deer and roe deer inside and predators such as bears and wolves outside.
